“Could the defendant rise?” the judge asked. The man who was blinking back and forth between blue and full colour and his lawyer stood up. “Arnold Halstrom, you have been charged with unlawful use of a personal time machine and tresspassing on a forbidden period of time. Do you have any opening remarks?”

Arnold turned blue and froze for a second before returning back to normal, “I don’t see what the problem here is, I wanted to go back in time for some batteries. -”

“No further statements your honor” the lawyer interrupted before sitting Arnold down.

The prosecutor adjusted his eye implants, “You transported into the pentagon hq for a few triple A batteries, you didn’t even pay for them.”

The judge slammed his gavel down, “Enough, let’s begin cross-examination of the defendent.”
