Stomach Pain
“Are you still in pain” Ravenna said, grabbing my shoulder.
I clutched my stomach, tying in knots and about ready to explode, “No…yes, it’s pretty bad.”
“What have you been eating, are you okay?”
“It’s not physical pain,” Francois stated, stopping to turn and look at us, “He’s in anguish.”
I was dumbfounded, “Excuse me? We have a mission to do, I can’t be hung up on something I don’t even know.”
Francois walked over to me, carefully took Ravenna’s hand of my shoulder and motioned to the ground. The floor of a rock cave is not exactly comfortable, but at least we could stop walking. He placed both hands on my stomach, and it was firm enough for that knot-tying pain to turn into full blown dagger in stomach pain. “I’m sorry, but this is really going to hurt.”
“Don’t doctors usually say ‘everything will be fi-” I said before he pressed deeper. I screamed and instinctively swatted my hand out, hitting Francois square in his jaw.
“AAAAH, I’m sor-” I choked out before he pressed down even further. He had managed to get my stomach to press all the way to my back.
“I’m sorry as well, but I have to bring your pain to the forefront before you have any chance of removing it.”
