Quick!

“Quick, move here do this!” the commander yelled at his right hand sorcerer.

“Excuse me, but I think it’s ludicrous that an anergy based craft could even be grazed by my spells.” he implored. The caprain stared at him and the sorcerer relented as quick as he had objected. A few incantations and pondering over the spelltable, the only evidence of wood on this perfectly sleek metal craft. Upon the final, emphatically uttered words and he shot a beam of anergy out of his mouth. The beam deftly avoided shattering the paper-thin hull of the craft and the anergy ship just as deftly warped around this deadly beam. A message beeped as they were being fired on.

“Put his message on, maybe he wants to negotiate peace,” the commander said rolling his eyes.

“I want to negotiate peace,” the craft emplored, speaking just as a normal person would.

“Um, what?” the captain said, looking around to see if anyone else on the deck was as confused as him.

“We aren’t part of the collective pool, we broke off long ago and are on a mission of humanitarian work…so to speak.”
