You make decisions by considering a multitude of factors that your brain considers important. Those considerations beget further considerations until, at last, you have arrived at what we in the business call a “decision.” Except in fight or flight. Then, your brain by necessity skips a few of those considerations, ones it finds less than important, meaning there will be a few things that you didn’t consider. Such as what nails will rip my clothes as I go down, or how fucking cold these tiles are as I hit the ground. Seriously, frigid.
